Introducing JJ Books
Illustration, Nature, Self Reliant People
This is the JJ Books blog. JJ Books is me, JJ, in book publishing mode. Most people know me as John Jackson which, loosely interpreted, means a chap who is the son of a chap. That is how I started life and how I expect to end it.
Why Did I Establish JJ Books?
As a lawyer and businessman I have spent some 60 years helping others to grow their enterprises.
I thought it was time to start one of my own. JJ Books is it and its creation reflects also my deep belief in the importance of self reliance (doing things for oneself) and its relation to personal enterprise and freedom.
What is the Plan for JJ Books?
To begin with, JJ Books will publish material that I have written myself over the years. Its first offering is of A Little Piece of England which has been published successfully by established houses twice before. That book and those which will follow reflect my love of the natural world, my interest in people with their strengths and weaknesses and, particularly, my liking for an occasional escape with others into the world of fantasy.
The Illustrator: Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini
The door to fantasy is best opened with the help of a talented illustrator. That is why my brilliant collaborator, Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini, will play such an important role in the fashioning of what JJ Books will offer.
The quality of Daniela’s work is demonstrated by a charming cover she has designed for A Little Piece of England and illustrations for a book of stories for the child that lives on in all of us and which will be published in the early autumn.
